HIGHER FORCE

David, a misunderstood debt collector and artist, lost his brother in a car accident at a young age. Since then he has found consolation in ”The Higher Force”, a cheep self-help video, that has him convinced that his continuous mishaps are but a preparation for the significant role he will take on in later life.

He therefore concludes that The Higher Force is responsible for the appearance of Harald Haraldsson, a mysterious landlord who suddenly opens up his home to him. Harald is an eccentric grammar school teacher who takes it upon himself to handle David as his humble disciple and ally.

When the teacher discovers David’s dubious profession, his manner becomes that of a commanding man of mystery within the Icelandic crime world and turns unpredictable in his dealings with his student.

Gradually Haralds behavior towards David becomes increasingly menacing and finally goes over the mark. At the same point, David is once more dishonored and ridiculed by his colleagues and decides at this pivotal point to reveal his association with this unknown crime Lord. Longtime felons within the outfit, consider this to be the return of Mexico-Harald, the infamous criminal who for untold years has been locked away inside a South American prison.
With this news, David transforms from court jester to Key Man within the dept-collecting posse, the one they all count upon in the inevitable showdown with the threatening Harald.

However the final exchange with the miserly schoolteacher, takes an unexpected turn. For here lies more than meets the eye.
